It’s been decided. On October 20th, 2010, we will wear purple in honor of the six gay boys who committed suicide in recent weeks/months due to homophobic abuse in their homes at at their schools. Purple represents Spirit on the LGBTQ flag and that’s exactly what we’d like all of you to have with you: spirit. Please know that times will get better and that you will meet people who will love you and respect you for who you are, no matter your sexuality. Please wear purple on October 20th. Tell your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors and schools.

Not just monetarily (which is nice) but by submitting articles, news tidbits, events, fan fiction, etc…

Just log in and away you go. As soon as we get your submission we’ll work to get it posted online to share with the world.  You don’t have to worry about formatting or any of that stuff, we’ll make sure it’s pretty for ya.

If you have photos or articles you’d like to have included in our gallery just email me (gsmith at raspberryworld dot net) and we’ll work that out. (We don’t have a way for everyone to post pics, so for the moment just email me the files and I’ll upload them and give you credit for the submission to our growing archive.)

A word about events;  they can be pretty much anything of a nerdy persuasion – toy shows, classic film screenings, conventions, author signings, events at museums, personal appearances. Anything you think would be of interest that you’d like others to know about. It’s impossible for us to cover what’s happening in all over so be sure to support what’s going on in your little corner of the world.
