400 Blows is amazing. Truffaut made several other Antoine Doinel movies with the same actor at various stages of his life: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antoine_Doinel I’ve seen Bed & Board and Stolen Kisses. They’re not as intense, a different style: sophisticated, knowing, slightly rueful, very French 🙂 I liked them. The only other one of the 5 I’ve seen is 7 Faces of Dr. Lao, and who doesn’t like that!

I haven’t seen any of them I feel so un-cultured.

This is one of my all-time favourite films. Like you, I never missed it when it aired. There is something wonderfully terrifying about this film, timelessly fascinating!

Well, I saw clips from Moulin Rouge and Men in Thights. So that’s two more:)
